Prezzo- Pasta Perfection #PrezzoLaFamiglia

This is an entry for the Britmums #PrezzoLaFamiglia Challenge sponsored by Prezzo- https://www.prezzorestaurants.co.uk/LaFamiglia/.

When we were asked to take part in the Britmums #PrezzoLaFamiglia campaign I was so excited. I knew there was a Prezzo restaurant in my old home town of Bridgnorth that I had been dying to go to for a while.  I booked the table via the website which was extremely easy and got a confirmation through. We would be heading there for lunch on a Saturday.

When we arrived a lovely gentleman took care of us and seated us in a lovely space at the top of the stairs on a huge round table. We were able to see the whole restaurant which had a rustic but modern vibe. All the staff were highly attentive and took our order swiftly.

We had ordered some beers and soft drinks (they sell Coca Cola in glass bottle – this is a huge selling point for me as I love it!!). For food we decided on a bowl of the Spaghetti Bolognese and the Penne Alla Rusticana (this included Seasoned chicken, pancetta, peppers and  rosemary in a creamy pomodoro sauce) They also do a gluten free version which is great. The sides included two Garlic breads one with cheese one without. We also ordered Ice creams for dessert.

I am so thankful we didn’t have to decide what we should have as both Matthew and I are really indecisive and always end up swapping food half way through as I always want his!! Throw Erin to the mix, who is a nightmare with a choice and we normally have a great deal of stress before we have even ordered. Not today! we could just relax and enjoy our time as a family and enjoy being with our friends too.

When the food came and was put into the middle of the table Erin was thrilled with the fact we were sharing huge bowls of food! It was almost like a buffet on a table it was amazing.  The waiter asked if we wanted cheese too. Cheese is one of my favourite foods, so I was delighted. There was no scrimping with the cheese there was loads!! it was fantastic. I never think to order pasta in a restaurant as I love meat but I literally haven’t stopped craving the spaghetti bolognese since. It was superb. Just enough of a meat/pasta ratio too. Matt was a huge fan of the Penne Alla Rusticana, he said it was so moreish- creamy with the right amounts of everything.

A waitress came over just as Erin was slurping up her spaghetti and getting it all down her, to ask if everything was OK- It was perfect we felt well looked after but not overcrowded.

Thankfully in our family Erin and I aren’t huge eaters so I tend to share our food out as the big portion for Matt, middle sized for me and a small portion for Erin, so we very much resemble the three bears at dinner. So this meal was great. Erin could have hers and add to her small portion, I had two helpings and Matt said he could have eaten loads as it was so delicious. Yet the two bowls between six of us still has masses of food left- in which we were offered to take it home, which I think is a great touch especially for £30 for the La Familglia Meal deal.

I didn’t realise Prezzo is such a large chain- it has more than 280 restaurants across the UK. I have even booked to go to the Telford venue for a friend’s birthday in July as it was so good. Since signing up for Prezzo’s newsletters I have been offered money of meals and a free bottle of Prosecco. For Me the price of a family meal is important and frequent offers mean I would return time and time again. All in all we really enjoyed every second of out La Famiglia experience at Prezzo and I can’t wait to do it again! Check out our weekly Vlog that includes our prezzo trip!
