Who needs batteries when you have books? #storiesforlife

I love a book.. Whether it’s a book for me or for Erin- that smell of the paper, the feel of the pages. Just having the actual thing in my hands makes everything real. E readers are great but they don’t last a lifetime. Books do!

I have been lucky enough to receive 3 books from Britmums-

Max and Bird by Ed Vere.  A New York best seller about a cat and his friend the bird- showing the values of friendship.

The Dinosaur that pooped Christmas by Tom Fletcher and Dougie Pointer- about a cheeky dinosaur who comes into Danny’s life and eats up everything in his Path!

The little elephant who wants to fall asleep by Carl-Johan Forssén Eherlin- a relaxing follow on from the best seller The Rabbit who wants to fall asleep.

I will be wrapping these up for Erin as they are perfect for her and using one for her Christmas Eve box! I think we will pick The Dinosaur that Pooped!

When I was a child I remember now receiving the hard backed purple covered Enid Blyton book. The Magic Faraway Tree. It was amazing. Magical and so well written with Saucepan man and moonface! The book is about children who climb to up a tree and find an entire village with weird and wonderful people. The people from the tree go on adventures with the children! It’s amazing and hands down my favourite book as a child. I will be passing my tatty old copy down to Erin when she’s old enough to enjoy the book. My godson has already read my copy and loved it! I really can’t wait for Erin and I to enjoy the adventures. (Secretly it’s a great way for me to read the book again!)
