Sports Direct- A surprising Christmas haul #SDFiverchallenge

This post is an entry for BritMums Christmas #sdfiverchallenge, sponsored by Sports Direct.

Christmas is nearly upon us! There is something like 42 days to go!! How Scary is that?! I have got most of my Christmas presents sorted as I like to be nice and organised, but I was still after a few things for Erin to finalise her gifts.

Erin is the type of child that loves anything related to her favourite films. She loves Disney and Trolls at the moment and is always singing songs from her favourite films. So, I was looking for something related to those. I always like to buy her some sweet treats for Christmas too, as who doesn’t eat chocolate on Christmas day!

I would normally head to a shopping centre and look for items for her, but the thought of trudging through a busy shopping centre instilled an element of fear into me. So when Britmums asked me if I would like to be challenged to buy from Sports Direct I was willing to give it ago. The only problem I had was that I had only ever known Sports Direct as a sports store. Mainly because I had never looked around the stores. It was more that I went in got the trainers I needed and came out.

The surprise that Sports Direct gave me was how much variety they had that was non-sports related. They even had Disney and Trolls Items!! Hoorah! The range of items is huge and is so simple to navigate on the website. You can even rank your search results based on who the item is for and how much you have to spend, so you don’t worry about overspending if on a budget.  Whilst I was on the website, there were also perfect gifts for my mum, cousin and partner. My plan is to buy these when I do my next batch of shopping for Christmas.  I was genuinely pleasantly surprised at the options.

I chose the following items for Erin and got so much for my money;

Disney Princess Extra Large Colouring book- £4.00

A Disney Princess Game -£4.99

Pink Disney Princess Puzzle- £3.50

Gem Disney Princess  Puzzle- £4.50

Trolls Bubble Bath- £3.50

Trolls Surprise Blind bag- 99p

Love Hearts Sweet tube-£1.25

Cadbury Snow Bites- 99p

Assorted Sweet Tube £1.25

All of these only came to £24.97! Postage was £5 but came very quickly and was well packaged. The courier also left the item in the safe place that I had confirmed so I didn’t need to be in at the time of delivery either, which is a huge bonus for me.

When I received the items I was so happy that even though the items were so cheap that they weren’t poor quality. I know that some places you can buy items like this are not genuine or are really poor quality. Thankfully Sports Direct has surpassed all my expectations and has given me the perfect gifts for Erin to complete her Christmas. The only thing that I didn’t like about shopping with sports direct is the fact the postage is the same if you get it delivered to store. I normally like the fact I can collect things from the store for free to negate the postage costs- As I was shopping online and getting it delivered to home I wasn’t bothered this time. I would definitely shop with them again.
