#ACEWinterrefresh challenge- Getting clothes back to their best

I am never normally one to put clothes away in summer and winter but last year I was pregnant, I replaced all of my clothes with maternity and put all of my other clothes in storage in our cold damp garage. I also got a few bits off friends for Edith when she was born in lots of different ages so I have been slowly getting the clothes out of storage as she grows. All of this has meant washing the clothes due to the fact they are stuck in the damp! So I started going through the items! This was errrr fun to say the least! I got all of my winter clothes and all the clothes for Edith out and there were more than I thought!

It all seemed a bit drab and needed some life putting back into it. So when we were sent the new ACE for Colours powder I knew I could put it to the test.

One of my favourite Joules dresses was in all of the clothes but it seemed to have lost its Va Va Voom- this was what it looked like when I got it out of the garage-

I didn’t really think it would get much more colourful with the ACE for Colours Powder but it has actually revived my dress back to its original colour which I am so happy about!

All I did was put it in the washing machine on a normal 30 degree wash. I’m sure you will agree it doesn’t look old (it’s 5 years old! And looks good as new!)

I managed to wash and organise all of my clothes and have now got a rule to throw out everything that I no longer wear or haven’t worn in 6 months- I have decided if your on the edge about it you don’t need it! Perfect way to keep on top of your clothes.

I also managed to sort all of Edith’s wardrobe, but as we do baby led weaning it’s pretty tough to keep her clothes looking stain free and colourful. I thought I would give ACE Colours Powder a go on her clothes as it also acts as a stain remover.

It turns out Edith is currently really into beans on toast! Except she likes to feed herself! This was the state of her babygrow.

I decided that as this was a tough stain to give it a soak first as ACE colours powder is also perfect for soaking before I popped it in the washing machine.

I left it in soak for 20 minutes and rubbed the stains together because I always think it’s better to put some work in yourself, I was concerned it wasn’t all going to come out in the washing machine because there’s many a baby grow that have been ruined previously with baked beans. So I was excited to see the results. After one 30 degree wash I took the baby grow out of the machine and was absolutely blown away that it was spotless and even better it was returned to the original pink of when I bought it! I’m not going to lie I have a tendency to chuck pinks in with darker colours!

Overall I really love this product and it has now become a firm favourite in our house I use it in every wash and a little goes a long way. I also love that unlike other stain removers, it comes in a plastic-free fully recyclable pack so great for the environment too.
