#ACEforschool Challenge with BritMums

Erin has always been the child to come out of any situation with a filthy outfit. School is no different.

Monday morning, the start of a new term and a sparkling new uniform is laid out, crisp white top, beautifully ironed, bright red cardigan. She looks like she’s just walked out of the shop.

Come Monday afternoon, there is dirt all over her face, her hair is bedraggled and I can tell what she’s had for dinner…. spaghetti and meatballs… because you know- let’s have the messiest dinner on a Monday!! So Tuesday is take two. Second uniform of the week!

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday bring a whole new world of challenges! Science experiments, roast dinner and gravy, art club, PE where she’s taken off her uniform and trampled it before picking it up. So on average we’re getting through 5 uniforms a week.

Trying to keep up with the washing is one thing- but keeping the clothes clean and colourful with the whites white is more of a struggle.

Thanks to ACE we have significantly changed our washing routine. ACE for colours keeps her uniform bright and clean. Ensuring they can be washed more than once a week without costing a fortune in new uniform. And Best of all ACE’s Stain remover tackle’s germs, grease and stubborn stains with its dedicated stain remover.

This week we really put ACE to the test. Erin cape in from Non Uniform Day at school with what looked like black thick oil all over her tights- who knows where from. My first thought was- nothing is going to shift this.

1. First thing I did was used the ACE stain remover to douse the stain. A quick spray before your wash on the stain should lift it.
2. Second thing I did was popped them along with all the washing into the machine with my normal detergent.
3. Thirdly to ensure the colours stayed bright and the stain had more of a chance of coming out was to use ACE Colours. All you have to do is fill the lid which acts as your measure and put on top of the clothes into the drum.
4. Lastly put your wash on as normal and wait for ACE to do all the hard work for you.
5. After the wash is finished I took the clothes out and dried them. To my surprise the stains were gone. There was no scrubbing or soaking or anything else that takes up time where I could be doing other things around the house. The results were amazing. Colours were still bright, the stain had gone and they went back to looking like the new tights they were just before she wore them.ACE has now become part of my daily washing routine. Being able to use the products in my washing everyday is the ideal scenario when tackling tough stains and ensuring Erin looks as good as the first day of school. ACE will be a god send on the tough stains when the baby is here too. No one likes scrubbing a poonami!
