I said Yes!! ??

I thought it was about time I wrote about a special event that happened on one of the best holidays ever…. I got Engaged!

Let’s take us back to February 17th 2017. We landed in Florida the night before after an eventful trip where Erin puked all over me in the car on the way to the airport. We were at Disney world. We stayed in a Disney hotel and were so excited for our first day in the Magic Kingdom. If you read many of my posts you will know Matt, Erin and I are complete Disney addicts.

Now Matt and I met when we were 14 and my cousin was at the same school as him. We were introduced and realised we lived opposite sides of the road. We became best friends- we did silly things like wrestle and watch MTV together.(you know what all the cool 14 year olds do!). We started dating at 15- he’s a pretty epic boyfriend and definitely knows how to treat a lady. He’s funny, kind and loving. We unfortunately went our seperate ways at 17 and he went to uni. I went on to get married which unfortunately didn’t work out but I had my beautiful baby girl. A year after I was separated Matt and I got together- he had moved from London to Shropshire and started to work back here and had moved back with his parents. The rest is history!

Anyway back to present day… we got into magic kingdom at 8am on the Friday and did loads of amazing Disney things. Late afternoon we were strolling past Cinderella’s garden by the castle and as Erin was in the pushchair as she was tired from walking so much Matt asked if I wanted a picture by the well. (I did tell him I wasn’t 12 and it was an odd request but posed anyway). At this point madam wanted in on the action and joined in! Bloody kid never wants to miss out on anything!!

Matt then came over and said that Erin and he had something to ask me. He put his hand in his pocket and I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry with happiness. He said some beautiful words (although neither of us remember what he said!!!) and I said yes!!! I fell in love with my ring straight away as it’s what I have always wanted and felt like our little family was perfect. I loved every minute of our magical holiday and would adore to go back and do it all again. It topped off Disney as an even more magical destination. Matt had even ordered a bouquet of Roses in our hotel room, a perfect end to a perfect day.
