Disney Dining from another Perspective- Matt tells us what his go to restaurants are!

If you are an avid fan of Glossytots you will have read my ‘Top Dining in Disney Guide’. If not you can find it here; today my partner Matt an avid Disney fan himself has given us his best dining options in Disney World for all budgets!

Magic Kingdom: Deciding on a favourite in Magic Kingdom is a challenge.  I would always go for Casey’s Corner – the hot dogs are great in any flavour. The skin on fries are amazing. This is not  as good as they were when you could cover them in hot cheese sauce (on our last visit we found this has now gone – BOO!).  For  families though the best place we have eaten is Crystal Palace. A buffet style character dining. It is located just off main street where you are joined for dinner by Winnie the Pooh and Friends.

Epcot: has the most extensive range of restaurants and really does cater for all. Around the lake you can choose from Sushi in Japan to Fish and Chips in the UK.  Out of all the restaurants a personal favourite is Le Cellier Steakhouse in Canada. (Enter the world show case and head right). The restaurant is underground and designed to look like a wine cellar, with stone arches and mood lighting it is intimate for two and intriguing for the family.

Animal Kingdom: this is most definitely our pick and a must do on every visit. TUSKER HOUSE for a character breakfast, in the Africa area of the park.  The buffet breakfast is full of variety and tastes great. You can fill up for the busy day ahead and see Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Pluto and Goofy in their safari gear. The key is to book an early breakfast. You can get into the park before the gates open.  Timed right be at the front of the queue for Expedition Everest when you come out of breakfast.

On a budget: You don’t have to eat out to eat well at WDW. We stay in moderate resorts.  After a long day in the parks there is often nothing better than coming back to your room and picking up a family size Pizza. These range from $14-$18 (big enough for all of us!), and relaxing in our room in front of the TV.

Hollywood Studios: last time out we tried both the Hollywood and Vine and Sci-Fi Dine-in theatre and both are great for different reasons. The former is a buffet style character dining location. Which Erin LOVED as she got to dance and sing with her favourite Disney junior characters and the latter is just the coolest! Modelled on a drive in theatre. You sit in a converted car and eat in front of a large movie screen playing classic Sci-Fi films. The prices are reasonable and they do a mean burger!

Disney Springs: is full of options and have a range of venues to match all budgets. A special nod goes to Earl of Sandwich. Grab a mahoosive and scrumptious sandwich, but our favourite is most definitely the House of Blues. Together the venue and the food is colourful and full of flavour. The cocktails are awesome and the music will have you tapping your feet while you dine. If you are lucky enough to get some time to yourselves, this is the perfect date night setting. We had a blast!
