Curiously Good Cooperative Christmas Food
My first large blogging event was a fantastic one- The Cooperative Christmas Blogger Showcase where the delights that are available throughout December until the big day itself. When we arrived we had pictures taken and given our passes and were escorted to the floor which was surround by glass walls and had a beautiful setting with chairs and tables decorated with Christmas Splendour. We were given a glass Cooperative Prosecco as we arrived which was stunning- not to sharp and not too sweet just perfect to accompany a Christmas party.
We were sat at the tables to enjoy our starter of Prosecco and Marie Rose Prawn Cocktail and Cranberry and Brussels Pate both of which were fantastic. They were served with a roll and butter and were extremely moreish and accompanied with a delectable white wine .
The next course was our classic Christmas dinner which consisted of Turkey and stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips and cranberry sauce. For easy to cook food it tasted homemade! It was phenomenal everything was juicy and even the cranberry sauce has the most cranberries out of all their other competitors. I could have eaten this twice over! When more food appeared I was so excited especially when it consisted of Dim Sum, Sausage Roll pinwheels and Sausages with pork Crackling sprinkles which were to die for!!
In between the courses we had an inspirational Question and answer session from 4 other inspirational bloggers which was fab and answered a lot of questions about blogging and ways they promote themselves! I would be so nervous to do anything like that so well done to them! Whilst we were sat at the table I met a fellow new blogger @alittlelyrical (twitter) and meeting her was so fantastic as she made me feel much more at ease so check out her blog!
They saved the best until last… dessert the most phenomenal cheesecake, Christmas pudding and gold topped brownie! All absolutely stunning desserts! I will be purchasing the cheesecake for Christmas!
All the food was absolutely fantastic and I never thought Cooperative would be such a quality brand at great prices. I will be purchasing lots of items for the festive period and I can’t wait to sample some of the delights again!
